GloTrim is the most flexible and uniform multi-strand glass based fiber optic light pipe available. We know this because we have directly and indirectly ran programs for major automotvie OEM's, and this is what they use.  It can go where other solutions simply cannot especially when limited space is available.  It's flexibility and unparalleled uniformity giving it a significant advantage over other lighting solutions such as diffused LED light strips.

In short, no.  The reason is that precise optical coupling is required for maximum output and unformity through the use of our end cap ferrules.
